The City of Cape Girardeau is seeking qualified applicants for potential employment in the position of Part-Time Jail Control Room Operator.

• On the date of employment, applicants must: Possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent and not have any convictions for felonies.
• Applicants selected to participate in the hiring process will be required to complete an oral interview. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation. Finalists will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen.
• The City is seeking to fill up to two part-time positions: one primarily assigned to the evening shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.) and one primarily assigned to the night shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.). Qualified applicants must be available to work both weekdays and weekends. The available positions offer some flexibility of hours, ranging from approximately 12 to 28 hours per week.
