The City of Cape Girardeau is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Part-Time Parts Technician – Public Works Department. Position is responsible for assisting the Fleet Division with researching, locating and purchasing parts and inventory, maintaining parts supply and inventory, and creating and assigning inventory to work orders. Position will also receive parts and record unit numbers, dates, and invoice numbers. Applicant should possess knowledge of computers and data entry as well as identification of automotive parts. Skill in written and oral communication is required. A valid Missouri Class “E” driver’s license is preferred.

Before final appointment, applicant will be required to successfully complete a drug test and background investigation.
