Description

Performs work responsible for supporting the management, maintenance and enhancement of third-party financial and resource systems used by the City. Responsibilities will include analyzing the accounting and ERP systems’ performance, implementing or improving modules and collaborating with the finance team to ensure accuracy and integrity across our financial systems.

 

Essential Functions

Assists in reconciling the balancing financial data across multiple systems.

Compiles, analyzes and prepares budget data for the City wide budget publications.

Creates and maintains documentation, user guides and training materials for the ERP system.

Provides technical support to users, troubleshoots issues and addresses questions.

Analyzes existing processes and identifies opportunities for improvement through the ERP system.

Participates in testing system enhancements, configurations and upgrades.

Assists with the implementation of new ERP modules or features.

Utilizes tools and software applications for data analysis, data wrangling, reporting and documentation.

Manages and monitors data within the ERP system ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree in Accounting, Computer Science or a closely related field and three (3) or more years of experience related to the area of assignment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Two (2) or more years of proven experience as Financial Systems Analyst or similar role.

 

Preferred Qualifications

ERP system implementation and/or software programming experience.

 

Salary per hour $37.10, plus a generous benefit package.

  • Bi-weekly pay periods.
  • Twelve paid holidays per year.
  • 96 hours of vacation – accrued throughout the year.
  • 96 hours of sick leave – accrued throughout the year.
  • 2 days of personal leave per fiscal year. Must be employed on July 1 of the fiscal year to receive.
  • City paid monthly premiums for health and dental insurance – Employee only.
  • City paid monthly life insurance for employee only (1 times annual salary up to $50,000).
  • Optional group term life insurance purchased at employee’s expense.
  • Optional vision insurance purchased at employee’s expense.
  • Voluntary deferred compensation plan – not matched by the City.

  • Total compensation value (Hourly starting rate plus benefits value) for this position is $51.66 hourly/$107,444 yearly.
