FUNCTION:

• This position assists the patrons of the Osage Centre Fitness Room and with other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safety of the patrons and equipment in the fitness room.
• Spot the patrons when necessary.
• Remain in the fitness room while there are patrons working out unless another staff member is covering you.
• General maintenance of the fitness room; sweep and mop floors, clean cardio and strength equipment, benches and mats.
• Rack weight plates and dumbbells and unload bars.
• Inspect the equipment and report any needed repairs.
• Assist with court set-ups and take downs and other duties assigned by immediate supervisor or building manager.
• Occasionally, admission procedures and verify that the appropriate fee has been paid.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good communication skills, customer service, and a positive attitude.
• Must be able to count currency and balance daily reports.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• General knowledge of weight training equipment and exercise programs.
